At the age of 49 I was beginning to feel I needed to take control of my health, not only in terms of eating better but just being able to survive on my feet all day. Fibro was kicking the crap out of me and I read that giving up Gluten, and sugar was key to eliminating some of the flare-ups associated with Fibro. I think I may have mentioned before that I love candy, but in actuality there is a ton of sugar in just about everything. All of that “Lite” salad dressing needs a filler. I would rather eat a natural product and eat less than a filler product with a bunch of chemicals. It’s all about moderation.
Believe me, I’m no diet guru, I’m basically taking it day by day. And I must confess, if there’s birthday cake, I’m going to have a piece but there’s no longer room for cake everyday. Yoga has been a saving grace, it’s somehow energizing and cathartic at the same time. What’s the saying? It takes 21 days to form a habit? Take a 30-day challenge, see if you can feel better about yourself if you change just two things.
